Agreed, duplication of work cannot be expected for such a small user base. If making an additional German HDP version would take too much time and effort, it should be possible to buy the English Venge version in order to get the new Venge HDP installed. As I just checked, English version of MW4 Vengeance is still available on Amazon or Ebay.

I did a bit of poking around as well, seems we can get MW Veng CD's for about $10 USD (Included shipping costs). If we have to get them here in the States and ship them ourselves to Germany and France....then we will work out the details!

I agree...it makes more sense to focus efforts on the US version only as to not duplicate effort.

A German version was planned, but a problem with the tool prevented me from releasing it (yes, it was all but done, including a German version of the Insurrection Island missions that I made for the HDP).

If I can figure out the problem with the tool, and

Until last year, I was on the old 2 wire hell called dial-up.

Actually, Veng works pretty good on dial-up, much better than Mercs, as long as you can keep the pings under 350ms. I have a broadband cellular connection (I live in the boonies) however I have great bandwidth with it and I can get great performance even with pings as high as 350ms.

We have found also that no matter what kind of connection you have (T1, cable, DSL,.....) You should never set the IP connection speed any higher than 64k, as this absorbs to much server bandwith and degrades the play for all players. This was not always the case when the MS zone was around, but is how we have to connect via IP.

So it seems like there is a few people on the interwebz that still play

But I do have a question why haven’t you guys taken the plunge and converted over to mercs??

But anyway I woundt mind helping out with a HDP for vengeance after all if its anything to do with MechWarrior im in

Actually we estimate that their are about 40 "regulars" and numerous "butterflies" that still play. We have full servers on WPPC and on SoE each week!

As for Mercs, we do have servers there, just look for the WPPC Texas Style server in Mercs MP 3.02 or the SoE server in Mercs PR1 (you will need mektek's mekmatch). We are active in all versions...even MWL, we just feel the game play and the people are best in Vengeance.

You will find that both SoE and WPPC run a clean language, hack free, and lag free servers. Pretty refreshing after listening to the potty mouthed hackers that have seemed to permeate the world of MP3.02.

We like to focus of the finer points of the game rather than getting the top score each match. =SoE= Frost regularly take mechs like a Zeus up against me in a Highlander! (and most of the time mops the floor with me!). The point is to have fun and enjoy the game.

For variety, WPPC plays both NHUA and HLA...and all the old style games....CTF is one of the favorites.
